Public Service Announcement – Your Personal Photos

Public Service Announcement RE: Your Personal Photos – Are You This Consumer?

Statistics show that a staggering 53% of consumers haven’t printed a photo in more than 12 months, 70% don’t have photo albums, and 42% no longer print photos at all. What’s even more staggering is 67% of consumers don’t actively back up the photos on their phones (A.K.A. their cameras). This is risky when you add the possibility of a phone being broken (45 percent of smartphone owners will accidentally damage their phones), lost or even stolen.

What can you do to decrease the risk of losing your photos?

STEP ONE: Back up your device (phone, tablet, etc.). Then consider using an online server to back-up your back-up. There is no replacement for priceless memories once their gone. Save yourself the heartache… Backup now.

STEP TWO: PRINT! Printing may seem like a distant memory or maybe even something you’ve never done. Start printing today. There is an unexplainable joy that comes from holding a tangible print, passing it around, framing it or giving it to a loved one. Prints and albums become family heirlooms that are passed from generation to generation. I cherish the photos of my parents from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. And as a photographer I appreciate the quality of the prints and love watching how prints have evolved through the years.
